Count Senator Gerolamo Brandolini, owner of Castello Brandolini, now CastelBrando, developed in his dairy in Cison di Valmarino in 1933 the Mascarpone, an essential component for an excellent Tiramisu.

In the kitchen of the Castle the Count, with the help of his cooks, combined eggs with mascarpone, biscuits, sugar coffee giving rise to this dessert, destined to become one of the most famous and popular desserts in the world.

Tiramisù has been part of CastelBrando’s cuisine for 90 years, Count Brandolini used to offer it as a dessert to his family, relatives and guests who visited his castle.

Today it is prepared and served to the guests of CastelBrando in different versions and shapes.

The Mascherpone brand was registered on October 2, 1933 by Count Gerolamo Brandolini, owner of the Brandolini Castle in Cison di Valmarino (TV), today CastelBrando.

On June 30, 1934, the Treviso Intellectual Property Office, after almost 9 months of investigations, released the trademark nr. 48371 “Mascherpone Valmarino” at Latteria N.H.Co. Senatore Gerolamo Brandolini D’Adda, then in the years 1980-92 workers and producers passed to Latteria di Soligo (Treviso).
The Mascherpone, then become Mascarpone, is an essential component to compose an excellent Tiramisu.

90th Birthday of Tiramisu

On 2 October 2023 in CastelBrando was celebrated the birthday of Tiramisu , one of the most known and loved desserts in the world.

Castelbrando hosted for the 90th birthday an event dedicated to the presence of experts, authorities, associations and mass media.
